Scientist Biostatistics

Proclinical is seeking a dedicated Biostatistics Contractor. This role is focused on delivering high-quality statistical work under the guidance of an assigned supervisor. The successful candidate will be involved in various activities including the design, delivery, and interpretation of preclinical studies, regulatory submissions and commercialisation efforts. This role is ideal for someone with significant experience as a statistician in the pharmaceutical industry, who can independently perform and lead statistical work within a study or multiple studies.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a supporting, lead statistician for multiple studies, responsible for statistical elements of the design, analysis, interpretation and reporting.
• Quantify the benefit, risk, value, and uncertainty of the emerging asset/product profile.
• Develop design options and provide high-quality deliverables to support informed business decisions.
• Contribute to statistical methodology advances by identifying new opportunities and applying novel statistical approaches.
• Ensure high quality in your own and other statisticians' deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with standards and external regulations.
• Contribute to the development of best practices to improve quality, efficiency, and effectiveness within the function.
• Plan and support team's project activities and tasks.
• Communicate and escalate risks within the assigned studies and/or projects.
• Collaborate internally and externally to ensure delivery to standards, quality, and time.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• MSc/PhD in Statistics or Mathematics and experience in the pharmaceutical industry where a statistical component was involved.
• Good programming skills.
• Thorough understanding of all specifications, including regulatory and other requirements as required.
• Experience in program design, development, data interpretation, as well as regulatory interactions and submissions.
• Be able to manage concurrent activities within a study or project.
• Ability to apply novel statistical methods to problem-solving and manage relevant documentations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
• Previous Therapy Area experience is desirable.
