We are looking for a Maths teacher to join our team at a dynamic and innovative alternative provision in Hastings. You will plan, deliver and assess engaging and differentiated lessons to KS3 and KS4 students that meet the needs and abilities of each student. You will also be expected to contribute to the positive ethos and culture of the school, and to work collaboratively with other staff members. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 15:30, and a temporary contract with the opportunity to go permanent. You will be paid to scale, £130-£230 per day, depending on your experience and qualifications. The start date is immediate, subject to DBS checks and passing our compliance process.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent
- At least one year of relevant experience, such as working at an alternative provision, special school, or care / support work for young people
- A strong subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop your skills
