Gap Personnel is currently seeking candidates for a full-time, permanent position as Secondary Packaging Supervisor, Ideally from a pharmaceutical manufacturing background, to deliver effective management and leadership within the production facility, ensuring consistent and efficient production output while upholding high-quality standards.
Job Title:Secondary Packaging Supervisor
Department: Production
Salary: GBP28k - GBP32k DOE (per annum)
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:30)
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize the company s ERP system for works order closure and raw material stock management.
- Produce, maintain, and review production documentation, ensuring compliance with GMP requirements.
- Oversee staff training and development, monitoring progress through training records.
- Identify and implement process improvements to maximize output.
- Assist in implementing new business requirements and projects.
- Maintain knowledge of GMPs and regulatory standards.
- Investigate and resolve operational problems affecting production and product quality.
- Manage Pharmaceutical Quality System activities.
- Ensure a safe work environment and machinery operation.
- Keep Production Manager informed of line breakdowns and downtime.
- Maintain high-quality standards within GMP guidelines.
- Ensure Health & Safety objectives are met.
- Mentor new personnel for company growth plans.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Accountabilities:
- Oversee machinery startup and shutdown.
- Master Aggregation and Serialisation processes independently.
- Lead internal and external audits, ensuring constant readiness.
- Drive production teams to align with company vision.
- Review all BRP thoroughly before submission.
- Ensure comprehensive training for production staff.
- Monitor and optimize machine performance during production.
- Maintain cleanliness of machinery and production areas.
- Ensure packaging procedures adhere to quality standards.
- Supervise packaging documentation and labelling accuracy.
- Ensure batch reconciliation accuracy.
- Complete tasks assigned by the Production Manager promptly.
- Adhere strictly to GMP, GDP, and SOPs.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical production desirable, but not essential.
- Understanding of trust and confidentiality in leadership.
- Familiarity with Pharmaceutical Quality Systems (PQS): CAPA, Change Control, Deviation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Experience with GMP documentation.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Punctuality, professionalism, and courtesy to all.
- Willingness to adapt and remain flexible.
