If you answered yes to these questions, then we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are looking for a Pastoral Manager to join our school from Easter 2024. You will work closely with the Head of School and the wider Pastoral Team to provide high-quality pastoral care and guidance for all pupils. You will also monitor and improve pupil attendance, punctuality, uniform and behaviour and ensure that the school's policies and expectations are consistently applied.

As a Pastoral Manager, you will:

- Work alongside the Head of School and school staff to identify pupils in need of pastoral support
- Work directly with the pupils and their families to establish and implement a Pastoral Support Plan
- Monitor and review Pastoral Support Plans and report on progress to the Head of School on a regular basis
- Liaise with parents and carers and maintain accurate records
- Liaise with relevant agencies as appropriate and maintain accurate records
- Carry out administrative duties pertaining to the smooth running of the Pastoral Team and as necessary
- Support the personal and academic development of pupils and promote their well-being
- Model and support colleagues in setting the highest expectations for standards of behaviour, uniform and appearance, attitude and achievement
- Support the school form tutors in their role with pupil
- Work as a strategic liaison between parents and school in matters of pastoral importance
- Contribute to the overall ethos, vision and values of the school

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- A relevant qualification in pastoral care, counselling, education or the relevant experience
- Experience of working in a pastoral role
- Knowledge of the current issues and challenges facing pupils with diverse needs and backgrounds
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents and other professionals
- A flexible and adaptable approach and the ability to work as part of a team
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- A willingness to learn and develop your skills and knowledge
