Reed Education is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher to join a secondary school in Lancaster. This is an immediate start position on a long-term basis. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of the Science curriculum, excellent communication skills, and a passion for creating a dynamic learning environment.
Day-to-day of the role:- Delivering high-quality Science lessons to students at KS3 and KS4, with the potential to teach KS5.
- Preparing and planning lessons that adhere to the national curriculum and cater to a diverse student population.
- Assessing and evaluating student progress and providing feedback to encourage development.
- Creating an inclusive and engaging classroom atmosphere that promotes curiosity and learning.
- Collaborating with other teaching staff to enhance the Science department and share innovative teaching practices.
- Serving as a positive role model for students, demonstrating professionalism and a caring attitude.
- Must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Recent relevant experience in teaching Science at KS3 and KS4, with KS5 being a plus.
- Excellent subject knowledge and classroom management abilities.
- A reliable and dedicated professional with a genuine interest in educational development.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to be punctual, patient, and confident in a teaching setting.
