Randstad is actively seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Education Teaching Assistants to join our team, offering support to schools in the Blackburn area. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in fostering the academic progress and well-being of secondary school students. Both short-term and long-term roles will be available, with assignments based on your location, qualifications, experience, and preferences.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Classroom Support: Collaborate with lead teachers to maintain an optimal learning environment in the classroom.
- Individualised Assistance: Provide additional support and clarification on class materials to students individually or in small groups.
- Behavioural Management: Implement strategies to manage and address student behaviour, fostering a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
- Resource Preparation: Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and resources to enhance lesson delivery.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with teachers, parents, and stakeholders regarding student progress and any concerns.
- Supervision: Monitor students during breaks, lunchtimes, and other non-classroom settings to ensure their safety and well-being.

Essential Requirements:
- Prior experience working with young people.
- Confidence in managing challenging behaviours.
- Ability to engage with and build rapport with young individuals.
- Creative, proactive, and flexible approach to support.
- Experience with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or knowledge of learning difficulties.
- Teaching Assistant qualification.
