Secretary (Patent Office)
Location: Oxford, which opportunities to work from home two days per week.
Salary: £27K - £37K DOE + package
We are working with a leading firm of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys. Their IP (intellectual property) experts obtain patent protection for inventions and trade mark protection for brands. Our client is a market leader within the UK, USA and Japanese markets. They work with SME firms, growing businesses and corporate clients.
Role

• Working for between 2 and 3 Fee Earners.
• Workload may involve covering Biotechnology & Life Sciences, Engineering & IT and Chemistry & Pharmaceuticals.
• Produce standard letters, file notes, European Patent Office and UK Patent Office forms unsupervised and upload correspondence for online filing.
• Deal with their fee earners WIP and produce invoice requests and narratives with limited instruction.
• Produce work from dictations, emails and also from manuscript documents as well as proficiently deal with post and filing using the firm's Document Management System (DMS).

Required Skills and Qualities

• Previous proven secretarial experience, including use of EPO line filing software to prepare E-PCT, GB, PCT and divisional applications
• Excellent typing skills (fast and accurate)
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel
• Good qualifications
• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
