Description
You will be reporting to the Site Supervisor and will be based on a large site for international defense.
These will be 12 hour shifts paid at £13.10 p/h
Duties:
- Play a vital security role in protecting critical information for air, maritime, land and cyber domains.
- Securely guard the property, including manning a static guardhouse. Protecting company assets, visiting customers and employees of our client.
- Carry out patrols across a large facility, walking perimeters both internally and externally.
- Remain alert and vigilant to detect and deter any suspicious or threatening activity and retain full control until the authorities arrive.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are always followed recording and reporting all faults, health and safety hazards.
- You will operate radios other physical security equipment used on site.
- Carry out initial investigations and report both verbally and in writing on incidents, suspicious activities, objects and vehicles.
- Responsible for Site access control, Booking in/Out visitors
- Maths & English GCSE's at grade 4 or above, if you do not have this you will be required to sit this alongside the apprenticeship.
- Current valid SIA licence
- Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history
- Customer service and communication skills, able to articulate with authority
- Ability to remain calm and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times
- Have a resilient approach to your guarding duties
- 18+ due to working hours
Professional Security Officer (Level2) Apprenticeship Standard.
The apprenticeship is a 12 month remote apprenticeship. You will be required to attend monthly Microsoft Teams tutor led sessions alongside completing projects, an online portfolia and off the job hours within your working hours on site.
