Semi-Senior Accountant

Semi-Senior Accountant. My client is a leading independent accountancy practice based about 15 miles outside of Leeds. My client prides themselves on the service they provide to their clients/customers, and are seeking a motivated, pro-active and forward-thinking Semi-Senior Accountant to play an important role in the firm.

• Support your clients in the use of cloud-based accounting software - primarily on Xero
• Client set-up and training on software
• Prepare annual accounts for limited companies
• Taxation compliance work
• Provision of payroll, VAT and management accounts for your clients

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years' experience working in an accountancy practice, and be studying towards an accountancy qualification.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ideally be Xero certified
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft excel, word and outlook
• Previous experience using IRIS software (desirable)

You will need to be self-motivated, ambitious and will be responsible for providing clients with an all-round accounting, tax and business advisory service.

• £30,000-£35,000 (DOE)
• 20 days holiday + bank holidays
