Salary: GBP38,000- GBP46,000 Depending on experience and qualifications
Location: Southampton
Role: Full Time, Permanent Mon- Fri
Your role:
- You will be working within a School that is a mixed 7-16, local authority funded, SEN day school for children, most of whom have high functioning ASD.
- You will work within a team with extensive experience and expertise in special education and therapeutic support for pupils whose needs can no longer be met in a mainstream provision.
- You will nurture aspiration, develop resilience and empower learning.
- You will strive to make a positive, lifelong difference to the lives of pupils.
You will ideally have:
You will have a passion for working with children and young people
You will ideally have worked with children in an SEN setting
Have an absolute enthusiasm for teaching Maths.
Have a teaching qualification.
Have a degree in Maths or related subjects.
Have excellent communication skills
Have a secure understanding of safeguarding children and equality
Thrive in a hardworking, yet supportive and friendly workplace.
We also welcome applications from unqualified or inexperienced teachers the school can provide regular and bespoke in-house training for UQTs, who are given extra PPA time to observe lessons and share good practice. They have also partnered with the University of Chichester and HISP to support staff who want to gain qualified teacher status or complete their ECT process.
