Supply Desk is currently recruiting on behalf of a Secondary School in Portsmouth seeking a dynamic Maths and ICT Teacher for a temporary position starting in March 2024, with the potential to transition into a permanent role. As a teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons in Maths and ICT across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in a secondary school that received a “Good” rating in all areas during their latest Ofsted inspection.
About the School:
The School is a mixed Secondary School based in Portsmouth for students aged from 11 to 16 years with around 900 students in total. The School comes with a Good Ofsted rating and believes in investing in the professional development of their educators. They provide opportunities for growth, training, and advancement to help teachers reach their full potential and excel in their careers.
The role:
- Full Time – Monday to Friday
- You will be required to teach Maths and ICT to KS3/4 students.
- Planning and preparing for lessons which cater to all students
- Marking and assessment to recap or extend the students learning as appropriate
- Following and promoting the school curriculum and pushing for highest attainment
- Pay rates in line with teacher pay scale
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a committed team player
- Proven track record of raising attainment
- Be confident and adaptable to different environments
- Have strong classroom management skills
- Be able to deliver lessons in a fun and engaging way that students can relate
- · Current valid DBS or the willingness to obtain one
- You will be required to work confidently with Key Stage 3-5 pupils.
