About the Role:
We are partnering with a SEN specialist school in Fareham, seeking a dedicated SEN Maths Teacher to join their team starting September 2024. This long-term role, with the opportunity to transition to a permanent position, involves supporting SEN students primarily with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Classes are smaller, offering a more personalized approach, and will consist of students aged 11 to 16. The focus will be on Maths, with potential support needed in other subjects as well.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support in Maths to SEN students with SEMH needs.
- Foster a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet individual student requirements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure students’ educational needs are met effectively.
Requirements:
- Recent experience teaching in UK SEN schools.
- Strong commitment to teamwork and student welfare.
- Demonstrated ability to improve student achievement.
- Flexibility and adaptability in different classroom environments.
- Effective classroom management skills.
- Ability to deliver Maths lessons in an engaging and relatable manner.
