GSL Education is looking for a Math Teacher for one of our SEMH Schools in Basingstoke. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and make a lasting impact on the lives of students with SEMH difficulties. Maths Teacher will be responsible for providing high-quality Math education to secondary school students, creating engaging and informative lesson plans, and monitoring student progress.
Key responsibilities and tasks:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver Math lessons that align with the national curriculum and meet the needs of individual students.
- Use a variety of teaching methods, such as lectures, group work, and practical experiments, to engage students and support their learning.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress through regular assessments, homework assignments, and tests.
- Provide feedback to students and parents on their academic progress, including identifying areas for improvement and strategies for success.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement school-wide programs and initiatives.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or a related field.
- Teaching certification or qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS)
- Prior experience teaching Math in schools
- Be confident at managing challenging behaviour
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- DBS on Updated Service
