We are looking for dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistants to provide essential support to children with a range of additional needs, such as autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and global development delay. This role is ideal for individuals who are committed to making a significant impact on the educational journey of young learners.
Day to Day of the role:
• Actively engage with pupils during lessons and activities, ensuring they participate and benefit from the educational experience.
• Provide targeted support in line with the UK National Curriculum to enhance pupils’ learning outcomes.
• Assess pupils’ social and emotional development regularly and report any concerns to the relevant parties.
• Use effective communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and maintain a cohesive learning environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour by implementing appropriate strategies to promote a positive learning atmosphere.
• Adapt teaching methods to cater to individual learning styles and needs, fostering a love for learning in each child.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Proven experience working with children who have Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills, with a minimum of GCSE grade C or equivalent in these areas.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a supportive learning environment.
• Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for education.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
