Academics, a leading education recruitment agency, is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with SEND in a school located in the S35 area of Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with experience or knowledge of SEN to contribute to a child's educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored 1:1 support to a child with SEND needs
• Assist in implementing and adapting learning activities to meet the individual needs of the student
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals to create and implement personalized education plans
• Support the student in social and emotional development

Requirements:

• Experience or knowledge of working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
• Understanding of various learning difficulties and the ability to adapt teaching strategies accordingly
• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with school staff and external professionals
• A positive and proactive approach to supporting the individual needs of the student
