Role Overview: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in providing tailored support to students with various SEN requirements. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the class teacher in implementing individual education plans and personalised learning strategies.
- Providing one-on-one support to students, ensuring they are fully engaged and making progress.
- Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected.
- Collaborating with the SENCO and other professionals to assess student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
- Promoting independence and confidence in students, while offering guidance and encouragement when necessary.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
- A patient and compassionate approach, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- An understanding of different SEN conditions and strategies for supporting diverse learning needs.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
