SEND Teaching Assistant – Blackburn – Immediate start

The Headteacher of one of our local community schools is looking to recruit a highly experienced and committed new team member to work on a one to one basis with two pupils who have a range of SEND needs, one for the morning and one for the afternoon.

You must have experience of ASD, mobility issues, visual impairment, lower level ability and some elements of personal care are essential.

This role is ongoing and full time school hours, as it is an Immediate start holding a valid DBS certificate is of an advantage.

The required experience/characteristics for the SEND Teaching Assistant role is:

• Supporting the class teacher and the pupils within their daily routine
• Experience supporting KS1 and Early Years pupils who have complex needs
• Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications or Degree or experience
• A passion for improving standards consistently, encouraging students to engage in learning
• Someone who can create a motivational environment, promoting positive attitudes to learning
• Pro-active and resilient
