Due to the promotion of our current SENDCo, there is an exciting opportunity for a new SENDCo to join the team at North Baddesley Junior School. We are looking for an exceptional practitioner to work alongside our leadership team, teachers, learning support assistants and families in supporting all children to fulfil their potential in our inclusive learning environment. The SENDCo will be an integral part of the senior leadership team who will work closely with the Head teacher, and assistant Headteachers to drive the vision of the school.
We are looking for someone who:
- Understands the importance of an inclusive learning environment,
- Can work alongside the parents and staff to ensure the best outcomes for all learners,
- Can confidently lead professional development meetings for all stakeholders,
- Is a fully qualified teacher with experience of acting as SENDCO or who holds the National Award for SENDCO,
- Keeps up to date with academic reading and strategies to support all learners,
- Understands the importance of working with outside agencies and feeder schools,
- Understands that safeguarding underpins all that we do – the SENDCo will be a DDSL (DSL training can be provided),
- Understands how to support and track vulnerable pupils across the school,
- Ensures that the organisation withholds the SEN Code of Practice,
- Shows empathy with different stakeholders and can communicate strategies and ideas professionally,
- Is organised and can prioritise workload appropriately,
- Is able to motivate, support and inspire all stakeholders.
