We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and commercially driven Senior Account Manager to join our Conventions Sales Account Management Team. The role will focus on increasing the profitable occupancy of our Conventions venues by maximising the commercial value from existing conventions business (ICC, Vox, NEC Suites / Live Events).
Dedicated to a specific venue(s) / market segment (s), the role will have ownership and responsibility of achieving revenue and KPI targets set based on client base and value. Through effective account management, upselling and generating income via other commercial opportunities such as F&B (food and beverage), graphics and production, as well as cross selling across the Conventions venues, and securing repeat business.
The successful candidate will:
Be a driven and self-motivated sales professional, with a significant and proven track record of successfully building and managing relationships with clients to maximise profitability and business growth.
Have extensive account management experience and highly developed relationship management and presentation skills.
Have proven sales experience, delivering and managing sales targets, ideally within a similar industry or selling environment.
Have a drive and energy to exceed all targets – with a ‘hunting’ attitude and tenacity for the sale.
Role model a best in class account management process and be willing to coach and mentor other members of the account management team.
