About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our private equity backed team in London on a 12 Month fixed term contract as a maternity cover. You will be reporting to our UK Finance Director and be responsible for managing all aspects of our financial accounting as well as building a finance team. You’ll be part of a collaborative environment where there is a strong will to scale the business and expand internationally.
What you’ll be doing:
- Liaising with external accountants on statutory reporting
- Liaising with our Polish head office on financial matters
- Continually refining our accounting and business processes
- Promoting an effective control environment
- Hiring, managing and developing a finance team of four
- Posting / overseeing monthly bookkeeping entries
- Delivering monthly management accounts with analysis against budget
- Liaising with external payroll provider and People team to complete monthly payroll
- Handling quarterly VAT reporting
- Managing cash and producing forecast short-term cash flows
- Implementing billing system and managing billing process ongoing
- Managing A/P and A/R processes
- Driving the annual budgeting process, a rolling reforecast and 5 year financial model
What we need from you:
We’re looking for people who are ready for a fast paced environment, get their kicks out of problem solving and can balance getting today's stuff done, whilst building for the future. We’re looking for people with drive and natural curiosity – who want to do things differently. And do them brilliantly. In addition:
- Qualified ACA, CIMA or ACCA Accountant
- Experience with ERP accounting systems
- Demonstrated hands on experience and an understanding of statutory, financial and management reporting requirements in a growth business
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills particularly Excel
- Proven experience and a passion for building and managing a team
- Excellent professional communication skills, with the ability to adapt style and content appropriately for the audience
- Experience of billing platform implementation and management an advantage
- Experience of setting up international operations an advantage
