The role
As a Senior Account Assistant you will be responsible for overseeing hotel ledgers from transactional input, payment runs & intercompany recharges, balance sheet reconciliations, bank & credit card recs, and draft management accounts. The role reports directly to the General Manager and is part of a team based in our elegant and busy West Midlands hotel in Solihull (B91 1AT).
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining a record of all purchase invoices, responding to all PO queries and also controlling the purchase spending in line with the hotel’s budget
- Chasing overdue debts and resolving any related problems or queries
- Preparing the weekly petty cash reclaim
- Providing exceptional client service by addressing queries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Ad hoc admin duties
You will supervise a small team of 2 individuals, guiding them through daily financial operations as the final accounting will be orchestrated by the Head Office Finance Team.

What you’ll bring to the team
This role is designed for individuals with a proven track record in finance role within the hotel industry.
This is an excellent opportunity for a capable individual who enjoys working as part of a team to deliver excellent service. The ideal candidate will be looking to develop their skills in a rapidly growing and dynamic business using industry leading software with support from a finance team.
This is a hands-on role and you must be confident and capable of managing the finance operation including Balance Sheet, budget preparation and supporting the annual audit process.
Experience in successfully managing and leading a team is desired.
