Senior Administrator
We are seeking a professional Senior Administrator for a Luton based charity providing vital support for vulnerable women & children.
Position:Senior Administrator
Location: Luton
Salary: £24,432-£26,357 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
About the Role:
To support the efficient running of the charity, you will be part of a flexible, person-centred, trauma informed service that can respond to the changing and evolving needs of service users. You will be responsible for managing office operations, supporting senior managers, scheduling appointments, planning meetings, and performing various administrative tasks.
About You:
To be successful in this role you must be highly professional and abreast of current legislation and best practice and able to maintain a focus on continuous improvement.
You must have experience:
- Managing a business phone line, monitoring messages, responding to enquiries, or forwarding to appropriate personnel.
- Responding to enquiries that come in via email, by forwarding to the appropriate staff member.
- Receiving, logging & distributing post/deliveries for central office and clients
- Ensuring that room bookings information is up to date and coordinate bookings.
- Maintaining Health & Safety Information Records.
- HR administration.
- Supporting senior managers and Board of Trustees with daily clerical and secretarial tasks.
- Taking minutes at board meetings.
Essential Skills:
- Have excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach.
- Ability to input/maintain and retrieve information in an accurate and timely manner.
- Flexible and an ability to work independently and to set priorities for own work.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Methodical in dealing with data processing, systems, and figures.
- Ability to communicate effectively; both verbally and in writing, being clear and communicating with a range of people
- Ability to focus on customer needs and to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Computer literate with sound knowledge of a range of Microsoft Office software packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Understanding of charity processes and procedures.
- A valid driving licence with access to a car for business use.
