About the role

In the role of Senior Analyst you will deliver (and support the team to deliver) actionable analytics and reporting to help stakeholders to understand performance of the Online business and inform our Online strategy and tactical activity.

You will be responsible for

  • Work in an agile framework to build relationships with different teams, and provide them with key insight and analytics. Including working with teams to improve if we decide to show products on the website.
  • Work to maintain and update a data dictionary and code bank with the latest data tables, information, and best practices.
  • Gather and shape data briefs and projects, develop analytical approach, deliver accurate insight in a timely manner, liase with stakeholders to ensure the best recommendations are identified and delivered. I will help implement and track trials as well as use statisical tools for trial/control selection as well as measuring the statistical significance of the results.
  • Support the analytics manager with prioritisation and other analysts on their data briefs and projects. promote a data driven, self-serve culture and ensure dashboards, tools, resources and insight produced by the team are shared widely, understood and acted upon, and develop new ones to meet the needs of the department.
  • Support the team with their technical development and support with induction of new starters.
  • Manage the agenda for your 1-2-1s and personal development sessions.
  • Take a leading role in the Online Analytics Community and in implementing ways of working guidelines inc. those on documenting analytical approach, code and outputs clearly, sense checking, peer reviewing and sharing work.

You will need

  • Ability to simplify complex problems
  • Manipulate data accurately and relate to business context
  • Ability to engage and gain confidence of stakeholders
  • Independant and organised but seeks help when needed
  • Able to coach and develop others

Experience required

  • Degree (or equivalent), ideally with numerical content
  • Experience using Excel, PowerPoint and a BI software (preferably Tableau, Adobe Analytics) to manipulate and share data in a clear and visually appealing way to support stakeholders to make business decisions.
  • Experience using a query language (preferably SQL) to access and manipulate data from a data base. Broad understanding of our business and industry."
