Job Title: Senior Assistant Psychologist

Location: Belmont Secondary School, Lancashire

Salary: £26,700 - £31,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm

Contract: Permanent, 52 weeks

Essential: Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle required

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Assistant Psychologist to join our clinical team. This exciting role will involve working under the supervision of a Forensic Psychologist to carry out tasks that will involve group work, 1:1 work, audit and evaluation. You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team and will have the opportunity to work with colleagues from Psychotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy.

Essential Criteria:

• Psychology Degree
• Relevant experience of working with adults and children in care
• First-hand experience of a range of research methods
• First-hand experience of quantitative and qualitative research, including different methods of data collection, research designs, analysis and final report writing
• Experience of paid or voluntary work in a child special needs setting and/or work with young people or adults with complex needs/challenging behaviour or mental health needs
• Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Experience of teaching and/or supporting of other health professionals
• Experience or knowledge of relevant client group (service specific)
• Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle required
