You will be joining the team primarily focused on the delivery of work within the Connells Group. Our team of seven focuses on the delivery of Operational and Conduct risks across the whole of the Connells Group. Understanding the key risks and protecting our customers and stakeholders are integral to what we do. We work closely with the other teams within GIA and the Second Line functions to make sure that we provide timely and valuable assurance and advisory services. As a Senior Audit Lead, you will be accountable for the delivery of a number of audits whilst providing direction and empowerment to the delivery team. You’ll also engage with stakeholders in the Connells Group and the wider Skipton Group, to help shape the Internal Audit Plan and to provide feedback on audit outcomes and prepare audit reports to a high standard to encourage appropriate action. Through continuous monitoring, you will build trusted relationships with stakeholders across the business, sharing insights and providing opinions. You will be a part of the GIA Extended L
eadership Team and, as such, you will have the opportunity to be involved in various projects and initiatives across the wider GIA department and SBS.The Skipton Group Head Office is based in Skipton and Connells Group currently have Head Offices in Leighton Buzzard and Milton Keynes. Connells Group operations currently extend across the UK. Due to the nature of the role, work away from home will be required and this may be up to 30% of your time.What Do We Need From You?We’re looking for someone with experience in leading Operational and Conduct related audits who can help support the management of risks as part of the third line of defence within the Connells Group. You’ll be able to manage varying workloads and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels. The key competencies for this role are:Excellent communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written);Leading and motivating teams;Being hands on and delivering complex audits within tight deadlines;Analytical skills;Stakeholder management;Ability to use data analytics and data visualisation to support audit testing and outcomes;Experience of working in a regulated environment and the ability to able to understand new and changing regulations across a variety of areas; andOrganisation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
