The Role
As an Accounts and Audit Senior you will play an important role in overseeing and managing the accounting and auditing within the firm. You will be responsible for leading audit engagements, preparing financial statements and being the first point of contact for clients for ad hoc queries. Further to the above your main duties will include:
- Attending clients’ premises
- Preparing preliminary corporation tax computations
- Engagement in department meetings
- Willingness to undertake relevant CPD to maintain technical knowledge
- Finalising the accounts and corporation tax computations following client meetings
- Provide guidance and assistance to colleagues including conducting reviews of their work when necessary
- Contributing new ideas to update and improve the department
Our Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an experienced individual with recent general practice background and exposure to accounts, audit or tax. Furthermore, we are looking for the following:
- IT literate including Excel knowledge
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of accounting software packages such as Sage, QuickBooks Online and Xero
