Senior Aws Cloud Engineer

Robert Half is partnered with an American-based development company and is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Senior AWS Cloud Engineer on a 12 month contract basis.

Role:

As a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability of our cloud-based systems.

• Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and security services.

• Implement best practices for cloud security, identity and access management (IAM), and data protection.

• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.

• Automate deployment processes, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure provisioning to improve efficiency and scalability.

• Monitor and optimize cloud resources to ensure high availability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AWS services, infrastructure, and applications.

• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement cloud-native solutions and microservices architectures.

• Stay current with AWS services, trends, and best practices to recommend innovative solutions and improvements.

Profile:

The Senior AWS Cloud Engineer should have the following:

• 3-5 years of experience designing, deploying, and managing AWS cloud infrastructure.

• Strong proficiency with AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, and others.

• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.

• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell

• AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
