About the Senior BDM - Retail Finance role:
Our client is a growing bank with a fantastic, innovative proposition with a genuinely market leading product suite. Due to their ongoing growth the company now seeks a Retail FinanceSenior BDMto join their busy team.
You will be responsible for business development activities for prospecting medium and large Enterprise retailer partnerships and on-boarding profitable relationships, becoming a subject matter expert for your specified sector, including competitor landscape.
Purpose & responsibilities of the Senior BDM - Retail Finance role;
- Deliver against financial performance metrics set by the business
- Prepare and present reports on KPIs
- Develop a prospect strategy for your allocated market sector (s)
- Research and update competitor knowledge - enabling compelling presentations to be made showing the differentiation of partnering with our client.
- Manage the entire sales cycle of your prospects
- Build & constantly update the prospect database for your allocated market sectors, by continually searching for new prospects and leads
- Manage RFP processes on behalf of the business with Key Enterprise prospects
- Support the Business Development Managers in providing best practices and effective tactics for prospecting new markets, partners, and channels.
- Develop ideas and create winning presentations for prospective new retail partners.
- Support line manager by contributing to product and marketing ideas that will enhance the credit offering.
- Present to senior management on the progress across key enterprise prospect activity in various committees and forums
- Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information.
- Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organisational development.
- Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills
- Some travel required within the UK
Skills & knowledge of the Senior BDM - Retail Finance role:
Essential:
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in a competitive financial services environment
- Negotiation skills with experience in successfully winning deals with both large corporations and SMEs
- Effective presentation and communication skills
- Ability to engage with different level stakeholders
- Proven ability to understand the key commercial drivers of complex BD deals and negotiations
- Ability to work well as part of a team to deliver overall team targets
- Proven experience of cold prospecting
- Ability to work within and knowledge of regulated credit environment
Desirable:
- Salesforce experience
- MS Office
- POS Finance experience
