Our Contingent Workforce Solutions (CWS) service partner with Zurich to support contingent recruitment hiring. On behalf of Zurich, AMS are looking for a Senior Business Analyst for a 6 month contract based in Swindon (1 day in the office a month).

In the UK, Zurich provide a suite of general insurance products covering business, casualty, motor, property and travel insurance, life insurance and pensions products to individuals and corporate customers. We employ over 4,500 people in the UK and are based across a number of locations with our head office being in Swindon.
Purpose of the Role:
Working in an agile environment, you will have the opportunity to bring your Business Analyst skills and hands on approach to contribute to the growth and enhancements of the CLP solutions in support of the business needs.
Responsibilities of the role:
As a Senior Business Analyst you will be responsible for:
- Responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements from the relevant business functions (functional and non-functional) and driving the sign-offs from the management stakeholders.
- Produce requirement specifications throughout the agile iterations project life cycle, incorporating change requests.
- Bring continuous improvement to our agile working practices.
- Ensure requirements are agreed with system architects, understood by technical teams and ensure proposed solution design delivers business requirement.
- Work in an agile project environment producing clear user stories, maintaining backlog, prioritising stories with Product Owner and managing own work within sprints.
- Assist in define the implementation plan considering the various applications involved, other ongoing project initiatives and all internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with Test Manager and testers to ensure QA tests are complete before the solution is submitted to business users.
- Participate in application testing, configuration activities, and training of end users.
- Collaborate with project manager for risk assessment, project scope and development of a high level plan.
- Facilitate Scrum events (daily standups, other meetings) as needed.
What we require from the candidate:
- Sufficient business analysis experience to plan, conduct and facilitate workshops and one to one sessions with experienced business users and technical experts from different functions in order to gather and document requirements.
- Previous experience of working in an agile development environment to deliver IT projects.
- Experience of working in an international environment, used to working across different countries / cultures
- Experience in the insurance or finance industry.
- Working with APIs and able to document and explain what data needs to be passed between various applications (from business perspective)
- Ability to take ownership of own activities and execute technical or business tasks yourself where needed (e.g. document results, execute tests) to make the project happen according to the implementation plan.
