Job Title: Senior Business Development Manager
Job Location: North of England & IOM (main localities are Sheffield, Manchester, Hull, Newcastle, Leeds)
Salary: £46,236 per annum based on 35 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent (hybrid working)
For over 75 years, the British Red Cross has supported the NHS and provided a lifeline for vulnerable individuals, preventing them from falling through the gaps in the health and care system. We’re proud to support over 80,000 people annually through our person-centred commissioned services.
We’re now looking for a high-achieving and experienced Senior Business Development Manager, who will be at the forefront of expanding our health and social care services in the North of England & IOM.
Your role will be to significantly increase the number of people we support, and the income generated through expanding British Red Cross commissioned health and social care services across the region.
What we do
We work with hospitals, community providers, primary care and social care to provide often- transformative support to vulnerable people. We ensure people are discharged home safely and settled in and we support them to build resilience at home to avoid readmission. We provide regulated care and patient transport too as well as support to people on ‘virtual wards’ at home. But that’s not all, we’re constantly innovating and in many areas we’re leading the way, such as with our high intensity use programme and local coordination service.
Our services impact health and social care systems positively too. We help people avoid formal social care or leave it earlier, reduce demand on A&E and ambulance services and reduce delayed hospital discharges. Our services also save public money and generate social value.
What we need
This is not a fundraising role. With the support of regional and national colleagues, our SBDM will be responsible for achieving ambitious growth plans and supporting the development of new and exciting services. To do this they will own the Business Development process, from identifying need and generating leads, through to developing solutions and winning new contracts.
Please apply early, as we’ll be reviewing candidates throughout. We reserve the right to close the ad in advance of the published date.
