You’ll will have demonstrable experience leading the production of cutting-edge BI, analysis, visualizations and reports to support business decisions across a diverse operational landscape (finance, customer operations, marketing, pricing, business development etc.) and be able to communicate findings to a range of stakeholders.
Selection on duties & responsibilities:
- Leading analyses of internal and external datasets to monitor business-process progress, evaluate performance and highlight commercial positioning.
- Design and develop automated solutions/systems to assist the business in its operation, using Power BI, Excel and the Microsoft SQL Server suite of products.
- Design and build Power BI data models. Use data engineering skills to transform and prepare data for use within the models.
- Responsibility for sourcing data, performing analyses and presenting insights, findings and recommendations to key stakeholders in a format and delivery suitable to the audience.
- Enthusiastically staying up to date with developments in the BI space, contributing to the continuous development of technical expertise within the team.
- Developing strong relationships with internal stakeholders, teams and business areas in view of service provision and understanding data their needs.
- Support and guide team members with larger multifaceted analyses, taking responsibility for specific aspects of the analysis and contributing to final reporting and feedback to internal stakeholders.
- Contributing to the annual cycle of Business Intelligence provision and ad-hoc analysis.
Skills & Experience:
- Significant experience of working in a BI/ analytical function or as part of a team providing Business Intelligence and management information via Power BI.
- Demonstrable experience of leading the production of high quality Business Intelligence and management information by accessing, interrogating, interpreting and reporting data, working alongside relevant colleagues.
- Experience of drawing insight from data, using Power BI data visualisation and telling a story to support strategic decision making.
- Relevant experience of managing BI & Data visualation projects to conclusion, with the ability to organise, prioritise and plan your work independently, to work effectively under pressure and to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to analyse & understand complex datasets and interpret and present results in a clear and concise manner.
- Focus on using own initiative, and adopting a logical and systematic approach to work.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- High level proficiency in SQL, Excel and Power BI (DAX) is required - essential.
- A degree level education (or equivalent experience) in a numerical or related discipline.
- Highly organised, strong attention to detail, sense of humour, self-motivated.
