In this role, you will support the Deputy Group COO in business development and strategic planning initiatives. You will work with all areas of Man Group (non tech focus), and the role provides an opportunity to identify and change processes to enhance efficiencies and promote innovation. The core competencies of the role consist of strategy and business planning; project management; operational, market and business analysis; relationship management and development.
Specific responsibilities will vary but can be expected to include:
- Producing high quality business plans to enable senior management decision making
- Working across business areas to provide guidance on project prioritisation and resource allocation
- Supporting business areas in project planning and cross-team delivery, identifying and escalating issues as required
- Managing projects as required, originating from Man Group strategic objectives
- Managing project update communications, including identifying key stakeholders and providing insightful commentary
- Identifying areas of innovation / transformation across the firm and bring together like-minded individuals
- Preparing papers and presentations on strategic initiatives
- Producing post-implementation analysis to enable objective assessment of deliverables
- Driving business efficiency by identifying, recommending and implementing process improvements
- 7+ years' applicable work experience (ideally non tech focus)
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Experience in presenting to senior management
- Experience managing a project through the entire lifecycle from implementation to closure
- Experience in managing multiple projects
- Strong analytical ability
- Advanced skills in Microsoft 365 (including Excel)
- Experience in influencing team members and other colleagues to achieve results
- Strong interpersonal skills: able to establish and maintain a close working relationship with a wide range of stakeholders. Must be able to communicate with senior stakeholders effectively
- Highly organised self-starter with the ability to effectively manage time across multiple projects and with competing business demands and priorities
- Excellent communication skills to ensure clear, concise, and professional communication (both written and verbal) with internal and external partners
