This is a 12-14 month contract to cover a maternity leave and would be a fantastic opportunity to gain experience with a leading business in the Warrington area in an exciting Procurement role with a focus on strategic sourcing and category management.

What will the role involve?

• Managing a small team of buyers
• Leading high value tenders and contract negotiations
• Undertaking contract management and supplier relationship management
• Conducing regular supplier business reviews
• Delivering cost savings and added value within your category
• Managing and developing internal and external stakeholder relationships

Ideal Skills and Experience

• Relevant procurement experience, including tendering and contract negotiation
• Proven relationship building / stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong commercial acumen
• Excellent analytical skills with good working knowledge of MS Excel
• Previous line management experience or willingness to step into your first management role
