An innovative business based in Rugby is looking to recruit for a Senior Buyer on a full-time permanent basis.

Key responsibilities for Senior Buyer and will not be limited to:

• Identifying & developing collaborative partnership relationships with existing and future key suppliers.
• Negotiation and contract management and implementation via SLA's and KPI's
• Developing a clear strategy for managing the assigned and identified vendors to deliver against company and department objectives ensuring supplier selection is made based on capability and in line with our core values.
• Working in tandem with the wider supply chain team, leading projects to consolidate existing supply base where possible and achieving economies of scale with global demand are all requirements of this role.
• The Senior Buyer will take the lead in resolving day to day supply chain issues to ensure components arrive on time to support production and customer requirements and serve as an escalation point for Junior members of the supply chain team in addition to operations.
• Ensure the optimisation of the cost, terms, quality and service, driving added value through sourcing strategically, value engineering, innovation delivery and risk management by working cross functionally with members from other departments.
• Support the execution of standard work and assist in the management of essential tactical work through layered process checks and departmental KPI's. Key skills and experience required for Lead Buyer job applicant and will not be limited to:

• ERP experience
• Negotiation and supplier relationship management experience
• Ability to think of alternative ways to solve a problem and change course quickly
• Maintains good relationships with suppliers
• Proactive in supplier relationships
