Responsibilities:
The Senior Buyer will focus on developing partnerships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts, and implementing SLAs and KPIs. Responsibilities include leading projects to consolidate the supply base, resolving day-to-day supply chain issues, and acting as an escalation point for the team.
Accountabilities:
Lead and assist in Supply Chain projects
Contribute to team training and development, serving as an escalation point
Attend relevant meetings and communicate outcomes to the supply chain team
Provide support during the department head's temporary absence
Use initiatives to provide information for supplier and supply chain scorecards and KPIs
Assist in completing and monitoring standard work by junior team members
Tackle other priorities to benefit the business and supply chain team
The ideal candidate will have Supply Chain experience with a manufacturing background, MRP/ERP experience, CIPS Level 4 or studying towards and negotiation and SRM skills.
This is a great opportunity for a Senior Buyer who values collaboration and aims to make a significant impact within the supply chain. Hybrid working is available after 8 weeks of training.
