Senior Buyer

My client is a world leader in its field at the cutting edge in providing equipment to the aeronautical automotive and process engineering sectors. As a result of of an internal promotion they have decded to appoint a Senior Buyer to head up the procurement department. Reporting to the Operations Director you will have responsibility for defining and developing the companies purchasing policy as well as hands on negotiations with suppliers.

You will have come from an engineering or technical background with an ability to read engineering drawings and actively liaise with the engineering department to help spec materials and equipment of for the business. You will have at least 10 years purchasing experience, extensive ERP and MRP experience. Individuals will be able to show leadership skills, a CIPS qualification is advantageous.

The company is offering an excellent base salary and bonus up to 20% of basic salary and an excellent pension scheme with a 10% employer contribution.
