An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to support, the scoping up and delivery of a number of projects within CAPEX programmes during 2024, 2025 and 2026.
The Senior Civil/Structural Engineer will be accountable to the Principal Civil/Structural Engineer (or their delegate) for providing professional technical input into engineering activities associated with the following projects, noting this list is not exhaustive and could be subject to change:
- Raft 8 Expansion/Refurbishment
- 132kV Grid Yard Expansion/Refurbishment
- 11kV Substation Replacement/Expansion/Refurbishment
- Fire Main System Upgrade & Replacement of Water Storage Tanks and Pumping Stations
The Senior Civil/Structural Engineer will be accountable for:
- Producing and managing the production of engineering deliverables in accordance with specified standards, design procedures, safety case and nuclear site license requirements
- Developing, reviewing and approving achievable project plans and schedules such that the proposed packages of work can be effectively delivered to time and schedule
- Specifying and accepting activities and deliverables from contractors, to ensure work is carried out to specification, on time and compliant with procedures
- Identification of solutions to technical problems encountered on site, and ensuring these are controlled and managed to an appropriate standard
Job Requirements include:
- Degree qualified (BEng or MEng) in applicable engineering discipline or equivalent subject;
- An experienced Chartered Engineer (preferable) and professional membership with a relevant engineering institution.
- Minimum 6 years experience doing a similar role
