Outside IR35 – Contract role
About the role:
NRL are currently recruiting a Senior Civils Engineer for a leading client in the Transmission and Distribution sector. As Senior Civils Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, construction and maintenance of multiple substation projects across the UK. We are looking for a passionate individual to join a well established team.
To be considered for this role you must have the following:
Degree in Civil Engineering
Chartered
Health and Safety Qualification
Previous experience in the Transmission and Distribution sector
As Senior Civils Engineer you will be required to:
Oversee civil and structural engineering deliverables within the business
Collaborate with the section manager to assemble suitable engineering personnel
Lead civil and structural engineering work
Create compliant civil and structural engineering packages
Utilise industry standard software
Provide guidance to engineers
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
Review and approve civil and structural designs
Maintain compliance with design standards
This position requires working from either the Birmingham office or the Motherwell office, as and when required. Working week is Monday to Friday, 8 hours a day
Technical knowledge:
We are looking for a candidate who has experience with the following:
Good knowledge of applying CAD technology/software (Revit, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, Tekla Tedds etc.) to civil and structural engineering design and strong understanding of BIM principles (PAS 1192 and ISO 16950).
CDM Regulations
Knowledge of National Grid transmission procedures TP135, TP137 etc
