About the role:
NRL are currently recruiting a Senior Civils Engineer for a leading client in the Transmission and Distribution sector. As Senior Civils Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, construction and maintenance of multiple substation projects across the UK. We are looking for a passionate individual to join a well established team.
To be considered for this role you must have the following:
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Chartered
- Health and Safety Qualification
- Previous experience in the Transmission and Distribution sector
As Senior Civils Engineer you will be required to:
- Oversee civil and structural engineering deliverables within the business
- Collaborate with the section manager to assemble suitable engineering personnel
- Lead civil and structural engineering work
- Create compliant civil and structural engineering packages
- Utilise industry standard software
- Provide guidance to engineers
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Review and approve civil and structural designs
- Maintain compliance with design standards
This position requires working from either the Birmingham office or the Motherwell office, as and when required. Working week is Monday to Friday, 8 hours a day
Technical knowledge:
We are looking for a candidate who has experience with the following:
- Good knowledge of applying CAD technology/software (Revit, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, Tekla Tedds etc.) to civil and structural engineering design and strong understanding of BIM principles (PAS 1192 and ISO 16950).
- CDM Regulations
- Knowledge of National Grid transmission procedures TP135, TP137 etc
