The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing day-to-day advisory and oversight activities, assisting in the delivery of the compliance plan, and managing compliance relationships with assigned managed clients.
With support from the wider Compliance team, you will become the primary point of contact for assigned clients, developing a broad level of technical compliance knowledge with a particular focus on clients with conduct risk-related requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to a variety of compliance-related queries from managed clients, including those relating to sanctions, complaints, and conduct risk.
- Provide reliable information, analysis, and guidance to the Compliance team and staff at Asta and its managed clients, including drafting compliance board reports and regulatory bulletins.
- Attend and contribute to syndicate Product Oversight Groups, producing managing agent-level conduct risk MI and reports.
- Lead and participate in meetings with managed syndicates and other clients, providing information and advice where necessary.
- Deliver both online and face-to-face compliance training to Asta and its managed clients.
- Review and develop compliance policies.
- Prepare and submit regulatory returns.
- Participate in additional projects and activities as they arise.
Required skills:
- Broad knowledge of UK insurance regulation.
- Experience of using regulatory knowledge in an insurance business.
- Conduct risk experience.
- Strong academic background. ACII qualified or working towards this.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
