Hamilton Woods are currently working with a well established business in Nottingham. Responsible for effective and efficient management / monitoring of a portfolio ledger and supporting the Credit Control Manager in senior duties. Supervising the team whilst minimising aged debt and maximising cash collection whilst developing good working relationships with internal and external customers via phone and email.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure effective control of customers by monitoring shortfalls and taking appropriate action.
• Collect payments according to agreed terms, achieve cash collection targets and resolve and minimise overdue debts.
• Support the Credit Manager in supervising the team, manage workloads and be a senior point of contact.
• Ability to build great relationships with both external customers and internal teams at all levels within the business.
• Monitor large queries ensuring that issues are progressed and resolved in a timely manner.
• Escalate any serious concerns accordingly.
• Review payment plans when requested.
• Regular review calls and some face-to-face meetings with customers.
• Ensure emails are actioned in a timely manner and customer account information is accurate and regularly updated with digital contacts at every opportunity.
• Complete monthly cash forecast and pre-call on all high value amounts above agreed threshold.

Essential Skills

• At least 1-2 years' experience in Credit Control.
• At least 1-2 years' experience in a supervisory/Senior Credit control position.
• Strong communication skills, capable of building effective, long-term relationships.
• Enjoys interaction with internal and external customer focus.
• Competent user of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Ability to manage and prioritise workloads in a fast paced environment.
• Microsoft excel - pivot tables and lookups
