Reed Accountancy is delighted to be partnered with a fantastic client in Belfast in the appointment of an experienced Senior Credit Controller to join their team.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, we are seeking individuals offering 2 + years’ experience in Credit Control with direct experience in dealing with the general public.
Key responsibilities include:
- Responsible for meeting targets in monthly receivables.
- To contact individuals in arrears primarily by telephone and deal with a high volume of calls.
- Daily maintenance of credit control register.
- Deliver and maintain daily contact with debtors of all premises as required.
- Liaise with debtors and develop affordable re-payment structures.
- Liaise with a Debt Recovery Agency to recover any outstanding arrears.
- Refer debtors to solicitors and maintain records of referrals.
- Liaise with the Finance Manager daily and weekly in all aspects of credit control.
- Ensure, at all times, that interactions with individuals, verbally or in writing, comply with the requirements of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) the Data Protection Act and AML/CFT.
- Devise and adapt when requested, work procedures and the record keeping system to meet the changing needs of the organisation.
- To handle telephone calls in an efficient and timely manner, answering queries and taking messages, where appropriate.
What you’ll need to succeed!
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in credit control position / with 1 year experience of dealing with public in a credit control position.
- Minimum of 5 GCSE’s passed at ‘C’ grade or above including Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Ability to prioritise your workload and demonstrate flexibility.
- High level of accuracy, detailed oriented, articulate.
- Able to work flexible hours to ensure business needs are met.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- High level of confidentiality, credibility and integrity.
