Gordon Murray Technologies combines the expertise of visionary designers and engineers to bring disruptive technologies and low environmental impact innovations to the mobility sector. Critical to the implementation of iStream Superlight are integral modules and systems engineered to deliver a range of electrical functionalities - these technologies also being scaleable to serve the delivery demands of any specific platform configuration.

With multiple sites in Shalford and Warwick, the Gordon Murray Technologies continues to grow with multiple vehicle programmes currently in development.

As a result, we currently have exciting opportunity for a Senior Design Engineer - Closures to join our Exteriors Team in our Midlands offices.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Design for manufacture and assembly for responsible components
• Own the closure systems and attribute delivery.
• Report to Principal Engineers responsible for the relevant commodities
• Prepares full project documents
• Develops new techniques and/or improved processes, materials or products
• Engineering responsibility (including design and release) of full vehicle body systems: Closures, Panels, Glazing, Sealing
• Ensuring responsible designs meet legal compliance.
• Identify and highlight any areas for continuous improvement.
• Guide other CAD engineers in design standards and engineering practices.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Strong and proven relevant experience required in closures of body mechanism.
• Significant closure system knowledge and experience.
• Automotive experience essential
