Role Overview: Our client, a manufacturing company, is seeking a self-motivated and efficient Stores Person to support the Group Stores Team Leader in the smooth running of the stores department. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving and dispatching stock, issuing and receipt of consumables, administering records, ensuring cleanliness and safety of storage units, supporting loading and unloading of delivery vehicles, and controlling cardboard waste recycling. A clean manual driving license and an accredited B1 counterbalance FLT license are essential for this position. This is a permanent role with a competitive remuneration package.
- Receiving and dispatching stock to/from customers, toolmakers, and suppliers.
- Issuing and receipt of consumables and non-stock items.
- Administering electronic records and paperwork in line with procedures.
- Ensuring the cleanliness, tidiness, and safety of off-site storage units.
- Supporting the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles at the factory.
- Controlling the recycling of cardboard waste from the factory.
- Driving company vehicles for material collection and delivery.
- Stores or warehouse experience.
- Full clean UK manual driving license.
- Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck Basic Training accredited license.
- Ability to work unsupervised and meet set deadlines.
- Self-starter and self-motivated.
- Good communication skills.
- Computer literate (MS Office, knowledge of Sage X3 or similar operating system).
- Methodical and meticulous with enforcing operating procedures.
- Well organized and focused on service delivery.
- Flexibility during late/early deliveries.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, and multitask.
- Heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling.
- Stooping, kneeling, crouching, standing, and sitting.
