The NI Civil Service comprises nine Departments that support the Northern Ireland Executive and Ministers. We do this by developing and implementing government policies and legislation and delivering key public services. Our remit covers all aspects of public life here, including key areas such as; Health, Public finances, Justice, Education, The environment and agriculture, Infrastructure, Communities, The economy; and The executive office. All applicants must meet either eligibility criterion 1 (both parts), or eligibility criterion 2, as below:1) At least a level 4 qualification in Computing, Software Engineering, or other discipline relevant to Information Systems and Information Technology.(Only those courses where a computing content of 50 percent or more can be demonstrated to the satisfaction of the panel will be considered relevant).AND3 years management experience working collaboratively with senior leaders and managing diverse stakeholders tosuccessfully lead IT focused multidisciplinary team(s) delivering IT products or services of significant scale andcomplexityaligned to the organisation's strategic prioritiesOR2) 5 years management experience working collaboratively with senior leaders and managing diverse stakeholdersto successfully lead IT focused multidisciplinary team(s) delivering IT products or services of significant scale andcomplexity,aligned to the organisation's strategic priorities.In addition to 1 or 2, applicants must also meet eligibility criteria 3 and 4, as below:3) 2 years' experience of leading and collaborating with government/commercial third-party IT suppliers on asubstantial contractthat successfully delivered business outcomes using a digital service.AND4) 2 years' experience of using a recognised digital delivery methodology to successfully develop and deliver adigital solution of significant scale and complexity, which has delivered tangible business benefits for an organisation.
