Description
The Innovation Delivery Manager is a crucial delivery role in the Innovation Practice team. The role will take responsibility for managing a series of activities on one of our manufacturing accelerators and our Quantum initiatives. Activities will include designing and delivering open calls and funding calls, scouting, cohort onboarding and management, workshops, masterclasses, and supporting a wide variety of businesses and stakeholders to work together on solving the most critical challenges in supply chain innovation. The Innovation Delivery Manager will work with the rest of the project teams, including a team from Innovation Practice as well as other functions, and contribute to the DC’s growing portfolio of capabilities.
WHAT YOU’LL DO (Duties)
- Curating, planning and delivering key open innovation activities, taking ownership and responsibility from formation to delivery, closure and reporting, in collaboration with relevant project leadership teams, Innovation Practice team members and the wider project team
- Build and manage key stakeholder relationships (including funders, clients, sponsors and delivery partners) including internal stakeholders
- Convene and manage relevant ecosystem relations in the regional and wider UK, engage stakeholders in the positive impact of Digital Catapult and the work we undertake
- Support the project manager to ensure programmes are reported on correctly and progress is shared with the wider team
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve format and delivery, advising on best practice and guiding junior team members in delivery of programme activities and proactive feedback to Programme Lead and project team
Requirements
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR (Experience)
- Hands-on innovation and acceleration experience
- Experience in running competitive procurement/tender processes and / or managing open calls.
- Highly organised, able to look ahead and ensure that interdependent activities are completed to ensure adherence to schedule.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining strong relationships.
- Proactive and self-confident, adaptable to ambiguity, change and evolving priorities.
- Excellent analytical problem solving and multi-tasking skills, with a creative, optimistic and flexible attitude.
- Strong at presenting, facilitating and leading stakeholder meetings.
- Very collaborative working style, desire and ability to share ideas, and enthuse and engage others.
