Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough analysis of corporate events such as mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and spin-offs to identify investment opportunities.
- Develop and maintain financial models to assess the potential impact of corporate events on company valuations and stock prices.
- Generate actionable investment ideas and recommendations based on in-depth research and analysis.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers and other members of the investment team to implement and monitor event-driven investment strategies.
Requirements:
- 8-10 years of experience in event-driven investing within a Hedge Fund or asset management firm.
- Proven ability to analyze complex corporate events and identify investment opportunities that drive alpha.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate investment theses effectively to internal stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
- Experience with various event-driven strategies such as merger arbitrage, distressed debt, and special situations.
- Familiarity with legal and regulatory frameworks governing corporate events.
