We have an exciting opportunity within our highly successful Education Financial Services (EFS) for a Senior Finance Adviser to join our friendly and supportive team.
This is an excellent role for an experienced financial adviser to join a leading local authority, providing a range of financial services to schools and other Children's Services establishments. You will have a flexible and enthusiastic approach with good interpersonal skills and will be able to meet the travel requirements of the post and work occasionally in the evenings.
Working as part of a team you will be responsible for a number of schools with more complex circumstances providing support and advice to school staff on all aspects of financial management and administration. You will be responsible for having an overview of a district area, line management of staff and will be part of a training team delivering regular financial training to school staff and senior managers.
With good accounting knowledge and either a qualified accountant or AAT qualification or relevant equivalent (e.g. CSBM). You will have the confidence and determination to achieve the best results for your customers, previous experience of education finance and local financial systems (e.g. SAP) would be an advantage.
