Are you a proactive Senior Finance Officer with wanting to work with a charity?
We are proud to be partnering with a great international organisation that aims to improve financial hardship and poverty in South Asia. They use impact investment and social enterprise to tackle problems and inequalities in areas of education, mental health, livelihood, and anti-trafficking. They are looking for a Senior Finance Officer to ensure budgetary control across the organisation on a full-time basis (35 hours a week) for 3 months.
Offering hybrid working (2 days a week in office).
Working closely with staff in South Asia and the UK, you will be responsible for key functions, including overseeing the work of the outsourced finance transaction processing provider, the processing of donations, income, purchases, banking and correcting coding. You will be the main point of contact, internally and externally, for queries related to management, control, finance, planning and evaluation. You will support with transaction processing, including raising and sending invoices for donations, reviewing purchase invoices to ensure correct coding, maintaining financial records, assisting budget holders with financial reporting, and supporting with the preparation and submission of returns and Gift Aid claims to HMRC. You will also complete reconciliations, including regular balance sheet reconciliations and monthly reconciliations between Salesforce donations and Xero invoicing report. You will provide financial support to budget holders, fundraisers, and programme managers and provide ad hoc finance training around internal procedures and reporting regulations.
This role requires experience of using Salesforce and Xero. The successful candidate will be a personable, responsible and collaborative team player with have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. They will also have strong IT skills and exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
