In this role, you will:
- Act as an trusted advisor to experienced business leaders in developing risk mitigation strategies for business specific risks across the different CS business lines.
- Lead the strategy and resolution of critical change risk and control programs (Risk & Control Self- Assessment, Issue Management, Regulatory Projects etc.) requiring in depth evaluation and understanding of non-financial risks (operational, compliance, financial crimes, legal, credit etc.) within the business processes.
- Partner and design the implementation of risk monitoring activities (QA, QC controls, KRIs).
- Engage with all levels of roles across the business group and serve as an experienced advisor in designing and implementing business processes and controls that mitigate and address non-financial risks.
- Lead, manage and support the risk governance activities (Business Risk & Control Council, legal entity and U.S committees).
- Provide subject matter expertise on risks and controls as key inputs to risk activities such as compliance and financial crime risk assessments, legal entity scorecards.
- Serve as a reviewer in risk processes and ensure business execution (including new business initiatives) aligns with the risk management framework and applicable policies and procedures.
- Ensure appropriate reporting and escalation of key risk and control incidents, themes, trends and emerging risks.
- Experience in Risk Management or Financial Services industry, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
- Substantial experience in risk and/or Control Management function within the financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge about business processes, risks and controls/control design for Commercial Lending activities.
- Experience leading in solving complex strategic initiatives, business problems and driving projects to execution within tight timelines.
- A proven track record demonstrating ability to partner and collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups at all levels in a global, legal entity, complex matrix organisation.
- Must be a proactive self-starter who values personal accountability and thrives under pressure in a fast-paced and demanding environment with ability to work with a high degree of autonomy.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively in a high-volume and complex environment with changing and/or competing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Knowledge of industry regulatory requirements and experience with Commercial Banking businesses or products.
- End-to-end project and/or change management experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
